What is Creativity Coaching?
Creativity coaching focuses on therapeutic art techniques (artistic ability not required) and numerous Life Coaching techniques, which will help you unlock and expand your creative thinking and your creativity in general. Working with and being accountable to a creativity coach helps you to commit and tap into the creativity that is already inside you. Ultimately, this will help you better envision your dreams and find the creative ideas and ways to make them come alive.
There is a thief called "doubt" who can steal our dreams. This thief lives in our minds and kills our dreams and goals more than failure ever could. Dreams and goals fulfilled at any age touch our soul and bring joy & contentment to our life.
Whether you want to attain a goal or secure a dream, both require a creative process. I am Star, your Creativity Life Coach, a multi-disciplinary practitioner and founder of Starz Creativity Coaching. I believe that creativity coaching is 'creative thinking', which applies to all areas of life. Although it is natural, feeling stuck or overwhelmed now and then, makes it difficult to move forward. I successfully guide clients from 'confusion to clarity' by expanding their positive imagination and creativity, to attain dreams, goals and well-being.
Let's take a closer look at 'creativity'
Most of us rarely consider our daily use of creativity. Intuitively, we are constantly searching for ways to express ourselves. For example, in our clothing style and colour, our hairstyle and makeup, the type of car we drive, the style of our home furnishings and decor and much more.
Creativity causes us to question the status quo, identify problems and find ways to create positive change, secure our dreams and define our goals. Without creativity, problems are never solved and dreams and goals are never attained. Imagine you were asked to create something on the spot. The task would be far less daunting if you were given specifics in which to create. Luckily, life's challenges come with specific circumstances and constraints. These are actually important morsels that drive the creative process.
As children, our imaginations ran wild, and most importantly, we believed in ourselves! As adults we often feel that our imagination has vanished. Of course, this is not true. Our imagination is always available to us. Fortunately, we each have the innate ability to rekindle our imagination, embrace creativity, nurture self-love, increase self-confidence and empower ourselves to make choices that are perfect for us.
Myths about creativity
There is a myth that creativity hinges on an individual's artistic ability, similar to that of a writer, painter or musician. This is one of our many incorrect and limiting beliefs, which pushes us further away from our goals. The good news is that zero artistic talent is required to express emotions through art and to become a creative thinker!
Another myth is that creativity is related to age.
Are you currently thinking...'I am too young. I do not have enough life experience'.
Are you currently thinking...'I am too old. It's too late for me'.
The good news is that there is no age requirement or age limit to move forward toward your dream or your goal. Happily, you are neither too young, nor too old. Simply put, you must do it, and do it now. All it takes is clarity and commitment!
